Mitch is down 2 senators now as Rick Scott announces he has COVID-19

Scott is 67 years old, 20 years younger than Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, who also announced he had tested positive for the virus this week. That’s two Republican senators who must now stay at home and not vote on Sen. Mitch McConnell’s continued power grabs for at least 10 days. It’s a silver lining.

According to CNN, Scott is the chairman of the Senate Republicans’ campaign arm, so he spent last week campaigning with Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in their runoff bids for Georgia’s two challenged seats. The legislators in the House of Representatives who have tested positive for the virus this week include six Republicans and two Democrats, according to the Times..
